Cat Behavior
 

So, you have just bought home a cat as your pet. It has been a few days and you are unable to understand what it tries to tell you with its awkward gestures. Sometimes you even get frustrated and end up wishing that you never bought this cat as a pet. There is no need to fret now. Cats are not that bad. In fact, they are really cute and lovely to play with.

When asked to cat owners in a survey about their behavioral patterns most of them said that "cats just don’t listen". This is the only difference which pet keepers notice between cats and dogs. Dogs like to spend more time with their owners unlike cats who prefer remaining aloof for most part of the day. Dogs respond to their master’s commands and cats sometimes just don’t care. But that does not justify that cats are not good as pets and dogs are.

The main difference is the behavior pattern with cats. One has to understand their behavior pattern first. Like every other animal cats also maintain their own behavioral pattern.

Unlike dogs, cats are not interested in gaining praises. There only motto is to survive just like the other cats. Cats can remain a long time without even seeing any other species of its kind.

Cats are stubborn creatures and very intelligent as well. You cannot teach a cat to do certain tricks jumping and playing around while rolling on to the floor. But you can teach it to use the litter area instead of your carpet and tree trunks instead of your computer for scratching. Cats love to do whatever gives them pleasure. So you simply cannot stop them from doing that. Instead provide a different alternative for the same activity. This way you will be able to save your speakers and carpets.

Face it, cats can talk too. Its nothing like drooping those big eyes it’s the truth. The "meow" tone has so much to say. All you need to do is concentrate and focus. Apart from the body language their "meow" can tell you what they want. Your cat will purr sweetly, when it is happy and found a mate at last. There is nothing like your cat jumping on your belly to wake you up with its soft fur and a loud greeting when you get back home. Accept it cats are such a pleasure to be with. They lie on you while you remain engraved in the television and jump with joy when you play with them.

Training your cat is not that difficult as you think. All you need to do is study its behavior first. Generally, all the cats show the same kind of behavior explained above. But who knows what your cat wants from you. So if you face difficulties in learning your cats behavior then try observing it more closely for some time. Then you will get an idea what actually is on its mind. This requires a lot of patience. Who knows that you get even more closer to your cat and change its irritating behavior.
