Cat behavior training
Before training your cat you must learn the behavior of your cat that would be a good idea in training your cat.

A natural instinct of a cat is that it can jump and lands on its feet. When a kitten is first born the cushion in a kittens paws are not developed with the ability to jump and land on its feet. It take?s the kitten about seven weeks to develop the cushion on its paw for landing. The bone structure of a cat is unique to other animals as the bones are flexible, cat has no collar bone which able them twist and bend their bones. A cat can jump from short distant with out sustaining any injuries.

These are the kinds of behavior that you can teach to your cat like jumping, hopping, biting a stick, or scratching off a tree; if you are letting your cat to jump from extreme heights this will possibility an injury to your cat.

Cats have a unique hearing ability they are able to hear high tunes and pitches like opening a door or a can of food.  Cats also have unique smelling abilities if a cat will scratch or urinate on the floor or rub its self up against a door or furniture the cat is leaving their scent in that areas so it will be able to come back and know it was there before in, other words marking its territory. In addition to that if a cat or animal comes along in the area a cat will know this. Cats can also smell with their mouths if there is a gland call 'Jacobson's organ? - it is a sac in the cats upper mouth filled with blood, as the cat smells the scent and the slightly opens their mouth and upper lip, this allows the scent to be carried in and to the sac, which it will carry the scent goes to the cat brain. This usually happen to male cats when a female cat urinate.

These natural instincts and behaviors of cats can give you some insight to help you train you cat. With a behavioral training you can get the most natural instincts and behavior of your cat.

Training your cat for behaviors, there are some things that you need to look at and take in consideration such as aggression especially in older cats can cause illness and other cats in the home. In this situation you may want to contact your veterinary to have the cat diagnose and to see if it is all right to train a cat.

Depression and anxiety creates a problem when trying to train your cat. If your cat is separated by it recent owner, the cat can become depressed and stress on cat will be the effect if you think that your cat has depression or high anxiety this checked it to the veterinary doctor. Veterinary doctor will help you find the reason that causes your cat to be depressed. There are medications that a veterinary doctor can prescribe for the cat to help to help the cat cope up depression and anxiety.

It is recommended not to hit your cat for a punishment. The cat will learn to fear you, and fearing will be a behavior you will not be able to control or retrain your cat. When a cat does something that is not right just ignore the problem or if you see your cat with annoying behavior instantly say  ?No? and your cat will be given a warning and sign to behave.

If the behavior of your cat is becoming annoying you may have to resort to the baby proof home, all containers that have food in them have a lid on it. Make sure that the dining counters are clean and have nothing that a cat would want to play with.

The day that you bought or get your cat or kitten, you must start training immediately. This will stop or control many unwanted behaviors right away
